What could better than this? In week 11 of the NFL season, the league's 2 worst teams come together to prove which one is exactly the worst team in the NFL. That's right I'm talking about the Arizona Cardinals vs the Detroit Loins. I wonder how many of those seat will be filled this Sunday in the Cardinals new stadium, or if the line of people tryin to scalp their tickets will outnumber those in the seats.

As a suffering for many years Arizona Cardinals fan, the only thing I'll have to look forward & not for awhile is the 2007 NFL draft & if we'll get the #1 pick & if we do will we screw it up again.

NFL Week 9 Review

What a great NFL year it's been so far, & there's more coming up every week. For this week, we have the Colts with Peyton Manning going against Tom Brady & the Patriots, what a great matchup 2 of the league's top QB's going head-to-head. Then there's the undefeated Chicago Bears & the Miami Dolphins, I know the Dolphins are 1-6, but they love to break winning streaks. Plus one of the best NFL rivalries the Dallas Cowboy's & the Washington Redskins play this week. For all of us Cardinal fans at least they can't lose a game this week.

Now for what's sucked so far this year. Who besides me is sick of Terrell Owens, everything from is almost suicide to this week's report of a sleeping disorder, enough already. Plus, what a big disappointment was this year's trading deadline all the talk & buzz, but as usual nothing happened. Come on I wanted to see Randy Moss, go somewhere. Oh, well I'll have o wait for the offseason for some good trades. I'll be glued to the TV for every game, as I'm sure all you other football fans will be. Vent or tell me I'm wrong or post your own what sucked so far this year, always love to argue chat or talk football.

Another bad week for me. Probably my worse week in 2-3 years, the worse before was 50/50 damm. I had 6 wins & 7 losts.

NFL trading deadline is Tuesday.

As usual there are several trade rumors going around. This year they mainly revolve around Randy Moss & the Oakland Raiders. Speculations are that there are two different teams with serious interest in aquiring Randy Moss from the Oakland Raiders. Which two teams could they be, well the front runners are the Arizona Cardinals, because of Denny Green connection. Jacksonville because Mike Tice was a former coach of Moss. New England could be one of the teams interested because of their need for a go-to receiver & their willingness to take risks in players who might not seem to fit their moldel player, as in the case of Corey Dillion. The long shot seems to be Cleveland Browns.

Two other name's being mentioned are Jerry Porter of the Oakland Raiders & Chris Brown the Tennessee running back.

Defensive tackle Darnell Dockett signs a five year extension with Cardinals.

Third-year defensive tackle, Dockett signed a a five-year, $22 million contract extension with the Cardinals. The deal includes $7 million in bonuses, half of it this year and half of it next.

Dockett is the third of what the Cardinals consider their core group of young talent to sign extensions. The others are wide receiver Anquan Boldin and safety Adrian Wilson. The team also has long-term deals with rookie quarterback Matt Leinart and second-year receiver Larry Fitzgerald.

Hopefully, this a sign of change in the way the Cardinals do business. By rewarding players for their performance & not waiting for the last moment to sign their players.

Bears-Cardinals Monday Night Game

This coming up Monday night matchup has the 5-0 Chicago Bears going up against the 1-4 Arizona Cardinals.

Chicago (5-0) has lost four consecutive Monday night games, but has won four of its last five meetings against Arizona.

The Cardinals are 1-5-1 on Monday nights since 1977. This is there first Monday game since 1999.

The Bears quarterback Rex Grossman has been named the NFC offensive player of the month for September by the NFL, he's completed 61.2 percent of his passes (93 of 152) for 1,243 yards. Making him one of the league's best young passers.

Arizona Cardinal's have for quarterback Matt Leinart, the 2004 Heisman Trophy winner. Leinart is making his second career start. He did have a good debut as a starter, completing 22 of 35 passes for 253 yards and two TDs in a 23-20 loss to Kansas City .

Chicago Bear's defense is third in the league, allowing 234.6 yards per contest.

The Cardinals will be without Larry Fitzgerald who suffered a hamstring injury & will be out for 2-4 weeks.

E. James still seems to be struggling in his first year with the Cardinals, but in the past he has always found a way to bring out his best stuff for Monday nights.

What did you think of Matt Leinart's first start as the quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals? Did he perform better or worse than you thought he would?

I thought he did a good job, & he did put up some good numbers 253 yards, 2 TD, & 1 Interception. He did at times look a little lost out there & performed some rookie mistakes. He did lose his first game, but that may be a blessing in disguise for him.

There is one other thing & I'm sure other Cardinal fans are thinking or hoping. Kurt Warner lost his last starting job to another rookie quarterback, maybe ........

That's right the Cardinals lose another game, they should have won. The Cardinals looked so good in the first half, which is a surprise. But as usual they found some way to lose again. In the fourth quarter, the Chiefs tie it up, then with less than two minutes left in the game the Chiefs manage to get a field goal & take the lead with three points. The Chiefs kickoff to the Cardinals, it goes into the endzone, & instead of taking the touchback, they run it & get the ball at the 10 yard line. It doesn't look like they will get the chance to kick a fieldgoal, but to my shock & I think to the Cardinals also, they have a chance to tie the game with a 51 yard fieldgoal & 7 seconds left on the clock. It looks like it could happen, but not for the Cardinals, if it was any other team in the NFL the game would have gone into overtime.

T.O. Returns to Philly, will it live up to the hipe?

T.O. returns to Philly, how will the fans react? The Eagle fans have booed Santa Claus, thrown snowballs at former Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson, cheered when wide receiver Michael Irvin was briefly paralyzed and booed when cornerback Deion Sanders prayed around Irvin. They already had a mock funeral for Terrell Owens when he was suspended by the Eagles last year, how will they outdo themselves on Sunday when Owens makes his first return to Philadelphia as a member of the hated Dallas Cowboys.

This heated rivalry game may already have division title implications. This game is sure to be intense both on & off the field. The Eagles have already plan to mock Owens' accidental suicide last week. Owens is already for them he has an end zone dance already planned.

Only time will tell if the hipe was really worth it all. As for me I hope this will be true battle.

What a great NFL football season it has been & it's barely week 3. Sep 23, 2006 5:15AM -
It usually starts about 2 weeks before the draft, that little itch. Then my temperature rises a bit & my heart starts to beat faster while watching the NFL draft. By the time training camp arrives I'm done for, reading the paper, listening to the radio, & watchin the news every night just hoping to catch the latest camp news. Then preseason starts & every week, each game just brings my blood to a boil, knowing it will start very soon. Now its finally football season & it feels great.
Already this year we've had some great games & highlights. First for me was the Arizona's first home season opener in forever & in a new great stadium. For New Orleans fans it will be this week's return to the Superdome, on a Monday Night with a 2-0 start. The games have been great last weeks Giants & Eagles game for example the Giants down by 17 points in the fourth quarter come back & win the game in OT with a 31 yard touchdown pass from Eli Manning to Plaxico Burress. That's just one of many exciting games so far this year & it's only been 2 weeks completed. So far its been great & there are so many more coming up. The return of T.O. to Philly, just to name one.
NFL football is the greatest sport & will continue to be for a long time. Baseball has it's moments & basketball had its. In football each game is important & means something. Plus there's the traditions & rituals from tailgating to Monday Night football, & then there's the Superbowl one game, one chance to become the champion, so you better be prepared with baseball & basketball its the best out of 7 games.
It's been great so far & will even get better & I'm going to enjoy every moment & hope you will to.

Will Brett Favre be traded? Should he be traded? Where will he go? What is best for Green Bay?

I hate to say but, the best thing for the Green Bay Packers would be to trade Favre. Why, first if this is to be his last year & the team is going no where, what real value will he bring them in the future. A trade would bring a future round one pick & maybe even a third round pick. With the right moves Greenbay could use that to build a good team within a couple years.

Where will he go? Tampa Bay, Oakland, Dallas, or San Diego. Is some of the teams rumored. San Diego I think would have been the best situation, but the most unlikely with the addition of Volek from the Titans.

Ideally the best situation should be that Brett Favre stays a Packer finishes the year & retires a Packer. Even though they could bank on a trade.

Arizona Cardinals Fan

This year I've noticed all of a sudden that Arizona is now full of Cardinal fans. Where have they come from, & what happened to all the Dallas, Oakland, & other team fans gone. I was a Denver Bronco's fan & ASU fan, but became a Cardinals fan, the day they drafted Jake Plummer & Pat Tillman. So, all you new(bandwagon) or closet Cardinal's fans welcome & enjoy, but remember 2-3 years ago you were all laughing at me for always wearing the Card's gear.
